As time goes on, college gets more expensive and many jobs pay less. As such, more and more people are searching for jobs that do not require a college degree. It has been argued that obtaining a degree is either less profitable in the long run, or not viable due to financial circumstances. This list contains jobs that do not require degrees, some do require certification though.
A Job in Sales
When it comes to sales, one needs people skills, those who are good at talking and persuading others should look into a job in sales. Many of these jobs require no degrees
Real Estate Agent
Being a real estate agent is just like being in sales, except you only sell real estate. The good news is that it doesn’t require a degree, you just need to have a real estate license.
Artist
Being an artist comes with struggle, it can be hard to make a living out of it-especially in the beginning. Though, it is very possible to succeed through paintings, digital art, music, etc.
Pilot
Commercial pilots don’t need to get a degree in order to fly. This is a great job for people who like to travel and see new places. To obtain a Private Pilot’s License or PPL, you simply need to find a flight school, do the practical flying course, pass a test at the conclusion of it.
You will also need to pass several PPL ground or written exams, on subjects as apparently diverse as principles of flight, navigation, and meteorology.
Trades
As a trade worker, getting a degree is not always necessary. Though it does vary from trade to trade.

Alternative to traditional jobs, owning a small business and selling a product or service requires no experience. What is a topic you could talk about for hours and explain to others?
Patrol officer
Being a patrol officer requires some training, but it doesn’t require a degree. It has the potential to teach many good skills and lead to a strong career path.
Firefighter
Being a firefighter is a great idea for those who like a physically active job and getting close with a group of people. It’s a little dangerous at times, but it doesn’t require a degree and the hours give you time to be with your family.
Personal Trainer
Another one for those who like to be physically active! If you’re also interested in teaching people about health and assisting people in reaching their goals, think about becoming a personal trainer. All you need is to get certified and then you can start working as a personal trainer.
Executive Assistant
Serving as an executive assistant is a great idea, many people do not have time for trivial tasks and often hire assistants to help them with those tasks. Usually this job is not very hard and does not need a degree.
Exterminator
It is not the most glorious of jobs, but it is necessary and it pays well.
Taxi Driver/Uber/Lyft
If you live in or near a big city, being a taxi driver can be very profitable! Many people need transportation in cities and there isn’t enough room for everyone to have a car.
Skincare Specialist
This job is all about treatments, they use skincare products on you to make your skin glow.
Nail Technician
After passing a test and getting the proper certifications, one can become a nail technician. One is then qualified to treat nails-like giving manicures and pedicures.
Flight Attendant
Like being a pilot, this job is good for those who like to travel and get close with a small group of people.

This is a great option for those who want more experience in the medical field without a degree.

For those interested in dentistry, becoming a dental hygienist can be a great first step that will lead you to a nice career path. It pays reallllyyyy well and requires a 2 year training and certification test.
Massage Therapist
Having an understanding of the human body and some certification is all you need to become a massage therapist and help people with their bodies.
Home Health Aide
You can be paid to go to someone’s house and assist them with very simple tasks, it is really that easy! Usually clients will be older people
Photographer
Taking pictures for a living sounds ridiculous but it works! Selling the rights to use your photos can be very profitable.
Affiliate Marketer
You can make money by promoting other people’s products. All you have to do is get people to buy the product through your affiliate link.
Bookkeeper
For those who love books, being a bookkeeper is perfect. You get to spend lots of time in the library, making sure books go where they need to and reading in your off time.
Loan Officer
This option is a bit more unorthodox and complex, but it pays off. A loan officer convinces clients to obtain loans through their company as opposed to other companies. They also deal with paperwork and answer questions the clients have.
Farmer
For the more traditional worker, becoming a farmer could be good. This typically requires working in a sparsely populated area so you have plenty of land. One can choose to live off their own crops or farm more, sell crops, and participate in the economy.

Being a tutor may sound hard at first, but you can tutor young children about simple things.
